Pau Sandaran is a pianist and composer,with compositions ranging from instrumental solo, chamber music, big band and orchestra.
His works for big band have been premiered in Musikverein, Birdland Vienna and Eisenstadt (Haydn Saal).
Among his several premieres, Murtra Ensemble premiered his work for orchestra “Choro pra Frida” in the auditorium of Santa Coloma de Gramenet and Zorrilla theatre in Badalona and the prestigious theatre Corral de Comedias de Alcalá de Henares premiered the music composed for the play “El cavaller i els músics de Palau” (“The Knight and the Palace musicians”).
Sandaran holds a Master of Arts in composition and Graduate Bachelor of Arts in jazz composition at the University of Vienna. Currently, he is professor of piano and jazz harmony at the Conservatori Municipal de Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona, Spain).
